Where is the Turracher Höhe?

The Turracher Höhe is a high plateau at 1,763 m, right on the border between Carinthia and Styria, in the heart of the Nockberge mountains. Stone pine forests surround the village and Lake Turrach.

The village is at slope level. The road climbs up from Predlitz in the north and Ebene Reichenau in the south.

Arrive by car via the B95. From the north, drive up via Predlitz; from the south, via Ebene Reichenau. From Munich and Salzburg, take the A10 and exit at St. Michael im Lungau. The nearest motorway junction is around 50 kilometres away.

The final stretch is a steep mountain road, so please bring winter equipment and allow extra time in snowy conditions. Our hotel is right beside the slopes, 50 metres from the lift.
